Bull Shark
This time it was guide Chris’s turn. With the heavy gear in hand, he connected to a giant bull shark. Instead of explosive runs, the shark used the backline to its advantage, digging deep and holding ground behind the waves. After a gruelling contest, brute force won out and the team landed one of the most powerful bull sharks to come from the surf at Sette Cama. A proper fight and a fish that won’t be forgotten.
About the Bull Shark
Bull sharks are one of the toughest predators in tropical waters. Known for their stocky build and aggressive nature, they thrive in both salt and freshwater. Their ability to tolerate low salinity means they’re often found in estuaries and even far upriver. At Sette Cama, they are a regular encounter along the surf line, adding to the already diverse mix of tarpon, cubera snapper, jacks and tigerfish that make this fishery unique. Landing one in the surf is no small feat, and the experience leaves a lasting impression on any angler.
Why Sette Cama Delivers
From world-class surf fishing to a pristine jungle setting, Sette Cama continues to show why it’s a standout destination. Encounters with sharks like this underline the power and variety of the fishery, where every day has the potential to deliver a story worth retelling.
