Lemon Shark
The second mission took place on the beach opposite camp, with the goal once again to secure a suitable swim bait. The previous session had produced nothing but barbels, but this time the odds shifted. Within minutes a jack was landed—exactly the kind of bait needed to tempt a serious predator.
The Take
The jack was swum out into the surf, and the wait began. Just 25 minutes later the rod bent heavily. The run was steady rather than explosive, but the weight was clear from the outset. With pressure applied, the fish held deep, forcing a drawn-out battle that demanded patience and control.
A Massive Lemon Shark
After 15 minutes of determined work, the fish finally rolled in the heavy surf. The broad back and pale yellow sheen left no doubt—a massive Lemon Shark had been hooked. It may not have been the tiger or bull that the team had hoped for, but it was one of the fattest, strongest lemons seen at Sette Cama.
