The Echo Lago Fly Rod series was purpose-built for anglers who spend serious time fishing lakes, reservoirs, and stillwater environments. Rather than adapting standard river fly rods to lake fishing situations, the Lago series was specifically designed to improve casting efficiency, line control, and overall performance when fishing from float tubes, pontoons, boats, or shorelines.

One of the biggest challenges in stillwater fly fishing is generating efficient casts while sitting low to the water in float tubes or pontoons. The Lago series addresses this directly through a carefully designed action and 10-foot rod length that helps anglers avoid clipping the water during the back cast while maintaining tighter loops and cleaner line control.

The rod’s progressive power delivery improves casting efficiency with modern stillwater lines while helping reduce the tailing loops and casting inconsistencies that shorter or less specialised rods can create in seated fishing positions.

Available in 10ft 5wt, 6wt, and 7wt configurations, the Lago series covers a wide range of stillwater fishing applications, from lighter trout setups through to larger fish, deeper water, and heavier sinking lines.
