Constructed to Patagonia’s H2No® Performance Standard, the Torrentshell uses a durable 3-layer waterproof and breathable shell that provides lasting protection from rain, wind, and harsh weather while remaining comfortable enough for full-day wear. The fabrics, membrane, and durable water repellent finish are all produced without intentionally added PFCs or PFAS chemicals, reflecting a more responsible approach to technical outerwear.

Built for Real-World Conditions

The Torrentshell is designed to handle changing weather without becoming bulky or restrictive. The adjustable hood features a laminated visor and simple cord adjustment system that provides reliable coverage while remaining easy to pack away when conditions improve.

A microfleece-lined neck adds comfort against the skin during colder or wet conditions, while the centre-front zip includes both internal and external storm flaps to help keep water out during sustained rain.

Pit zips allow quick ventilation during periods of higher activity, helping regulate temperature without removing the jacket entirely. Two zippered handwarmer pockets provide secure storage for smaller essentials, and the jacket conveniently packs into its own pocket for easy travel and storage.
