Over this period there hasn’t been any political or other safety concerns.
The Sudanese people are extremely welcoming and friendly, and this is felt from the moment you are met off the plane. The Sudanese coast also has a very highly active and professional Navy that patrols continuously. The navy boats will often visit the liveaboard boat to make sure that all the tourists are happy and enjoying their stay.

All groups are guided by world class English speaking professional guides, with a wealth of experience in the fly fishing industry. Each group of 6 anglers is accompanied by 3 guides to ensure safety at all times when wading the flats and offshore reefs of the Red Sea.

After Tourette Fishing first explored this diverse coastline in May 2013, and subsequently for a further 10 weeks in 2014, we are proud to offer an annual professionally guided season on the Nubian Flats. The Nubian Flats is not merely another fishing trip, offering the adventurous angler the opportunity to experience a setting and culture like no other. The backdrop of the stark Nubian Desert combined with the extremely friendly Sudanese and the electric blue of the Red Sea is something that every angler should experience.
