Stepping off the plane, into the heart of Tanzania wilderness for week 6 of the 2017 Tanzania Tigerfish season we welcomed an eclectic mix of fly fisherman and women. Alexey and Sofia from Russia, booked through Farlows Russia and Arni plus one, from Lax-A Angling as guests of concession owners KNS made up one group of 4 rods.
While double week guest Brian (Pescador Solitario guest), was joined by regular guest Mark P, as well as first time visitors Hugh, and Mark W (booked through Yellow Dog) joined forces to make the 2nd foursome.
One thing to remember when fishing pristine locations across the planet, is to take time to appreciate the beauty of the natural surroundings. It is all to easy to be blinded by ‘fish catching blinkers’ and miss out on the wonders of the natural environment you are immersed in. The pristine nature of the areas, is the reason the fish are where they are, and the fishery as healthy as it is. So always remember to take time each day, each session and each hour, to appreciate just where you, and the privilege you have afforded yourself to experience fly fishing in such places. BUT, don’t loose concentration and miss your shot at a trophy fish ?
