Okavango Catfish Run 2018: Week 2

Temperatures averaged comfortably in the high thirties, yet the catfish runs were still around and the tigerfish were still eating. A more conventional approach was taken with both families lobbing spoons, rapalas and jigs in and around the shoals of catfish. However, the fly rods were never too far and by the end of the week Joe and Trevor had mastered the game. Both of them are very capable deep sea fisherman, yet had never targeted tigerfish on fly. They both worked long hours and hundreds of cast and were both rewarded with very decent fish. Trevor landed a 9 lb female that marked the end of a great week.
