Fish of the Week – Kalahari Wilderness Drift

Fish Of The Week

Fish Of The Week

Angler: Roan Bastard
Fish: 54cm Largemouth Yellowfish

This week’s title goes to Roan, aged 6, who proved to be the most persistent and determined angler of the trip. Despite his young age and the challenges of the adventure, Roan never missed an opportunity to fish. His magnificent 54cm Largemouth Yellowfish was the result of one of these moments.

As the last light faded from the sky, Roan quietly made his way to the water’s edge, casting as he worked his way towards the tail end of a large pool. Meanwhile, the guides and other anglers were winding down after a long day on the river. Within 10 minutes, shouts of “FISH! FISH!” echoed downstream. The guides rushed over, helping net this absolute beauty of a 54cm Largemouth Yellowfish.

Well done, Roan! A legendary catch to end an incredible week of fishing for you and the whole group.
